I apologize for not posting in a few days, but I just really wanted something of substance to write about.
Well yesterday, I got frustrated about something that happened but before I cried I almost reverted back to my usual attitude of “suck it up because it’s not that serious and things could be worse”! True, things could be worse but I am still a woman who needs to express her emotions. So I cried and cried and cried and screamed and kicked and kicked and cried and then I sat down. After I released that tension, I felt so much better, and out of my maturity I began to pray as I cried instead of being mad at the situation and God (as if He doesn’t know). I felt so proud of myself because it wasn’t that long ago when I would hold a grudge and be “Hell On Foot”hahahahaha but I thank God.
We are more effective to God, people, and our family when we express what is going on in our minds and hearts. Eliminate feelings that seek to invalidate your emotions or belittle how you feel; how you feel is just that…HOW YOU FEEL…not anyone else. So I hope you are able to release your emotions by crying, kicking, screaming, throwing things, etc.; as long as you release it and not let it get the best of you. Prayer for us:
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for gracing us with another day to bask in your grace and mercy. Thank you for creating us uniquely, we are fearfully and wonderfully made by Your perfect Hands. We know that You care about our feelings and what we go through, so help us be truly naked and transparent before you. Your strength is made perfect in our weakness and we bless you for it. Give us the strength we need to carry on and be better women, wives, and mothers. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
